Who We Are

Ginger Schantz

President

Ginger Schantz has a desire to see connections in learning. Leading out at Venture Robotics led her to become a finalist in a 2022 grant with the Texas Governor's Council on Women in Business. Ginger recently received a leadership award through Midland College's Leadership Academy. Ginger recently completed the SBA Thrive program and enjoys fostering business engagement in the community. She is a government instructor and department chair at Midland College, a former high school teacher and journalist. She has a natural love to see students and young people grasp new concepts and get excited through STEM and STEAM activities. Ginger has her undergrad degree in journalism from Texas Tech and a master’s in government from New Mexico State University.

Dann Schantz

Part Owner and Vice President of Operations

Area First Tech Challenge coordinator and President of the Midland-Odessa Makers Space Collective. Dann graduated with an Industrial Technology degree from Sul Ross. Dann currently runs an engineering lab at Midland College. He has worked for Midland companies including: Dawson Geophysical, Crownquest and Pioneer. He is married to Ginger Schantz and together they have a 10-year-old and 4-year-old. Dann helped put together the first year of robotics at Midland Classical and volunteered as a robotics mentor there for a few years. Dann competed in robotics while at Midland High in 1998-2000. Currently, Dann is pursuing a master's degree in STEM Education. He has a passion for sharing his love of robotics with young people and encouraging them to open their minds to all that robotics has to offer.

Robert Hoffman

Manager 3D Printing Lab and Lead Event Host

Robert is very valuable to Venture Robotics. He has a passion for what he does and he excels at sharing his craft and knowledge. Robert is a former Midland Lee Robotics participant. He has interests in 3D printing, drafting, game development and just making Venture Robotics more cool.

Sonia Castillo

Special contributor for Class Content and systems

Sonia Castillo works on a contract basis and is a tech-savvy writer, and native West Texan. She attended Texas Tech University and has an English degree with an emphasis in Creative Writing. She has taught for nearly 20 years in high school and elementary classrooms across Texas as a public school teacher and leader. She loves learning new software platforms and staying up-to-date with new applications. At Venture Robotics, she plans to incorporate her knowledge of curriculum for each learner and creating systems to help benefit the company.

Miles Mundkowsky

Student Activity Assistant

Miles is a student at the Odessa STEM school and is a participating member of robotics team the Misfits. He loves sports, gaming and collects Tennis shoes, Kicks.....those things we wear on our feet. Miles has a willingness to try new things and is eager to work with students.

Santanne

Student Assistant for Student Activities

Santanne is a high school student in Midland YWLA and is an active member of a robotics team. She is growing her knowledge of engineering and coding. We are excited for her to be a part of our team!

Rachel

Student Assistant for Student Activities and assistant teacher. Rachel hails from Amarillo and is a college student. She has a background in high school robotics. Her strengths are persistence and knowledge.
